Hotel Indigo Bath Celebrates Jane Austen Festival With Tasty Treat For Neighbours

To celebrate our city’s literary heritage and the popular Jane Austen Festival, we’re sharing tasty cream tea treats with our neighbours this week.

The delicious cream teas came from local Somerset supplier, Somerset Farmhouse, and contain freshly baked scones, Somerset butter and jam, Devon clotted cream and some good old English Breakfast tea.

The Jane Austen Festival is a highlight of this city’s event calendar and is of particular importance this year, commemorating 200 years since the acclaimed authors death.

From 8th to 17th September, over 80 events will take place throughout our beautiful city, including readings and theatrical performances from Austen’s novel Northanger Abbey, inspired by the streets and places of Bath. Other events range from concerts and workshops on dancing, to minibus tours of the city and novel locations as well as literary discussions and much more.
