Hotel Indigo Bath Partners with Three Ways School to Offer Work Placements

Hotel Indigo Bath have teamed up with Three Ways School in Bath to provide valuable work placements for students during their work experience weeks.

This collaboration seeks to offer exclusive opportunities for students aged between 15 and 19, allowing them to gain practical experience across various departments within Hotel Indigo Bath and The Elder Restaurant, as well as engaging with the hotel’s management team.

Three Ways School, known for its commitment to providing exceptional education and support for students with special educational needs, has found a willing partner in Hotel Indigo Bath, which shares a dedication to fostering inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.

The work placements aim to offer students hands-on experience in a professional hospitality setting, helping them develop valuable skills, confidence, and independence. By immersing themselves in different aspects of hotel and restaurant operations, the students will have the chance to explore various roles, from front-of-house duties to assisting with back-end tasks under the guidance of experienced staff.

Nicola Fender, General Manager of Hotel Indigo Bath welcomed the opportunity to partner with Three Ways School. She said: “We are thrilled to welcome students from Three Ways School into Hotel Indigo Bath for work placements.

“Hotel Indigo Bath and our management company, Castlebridge Hospitality, firmly believe in the power of diversity and inclusion, and this partnership allows us to provide a supportive environment where these students can thrive and learn.

“We look forward to welcoming and working with the students, and help guide them to make a positive impact whatever the future holds for them – whether in the hospitality industry or elsewhere.”

Following the work placement, one of the students fed back his delight at the opportunity. Kaylum said: “I wanted to say thank you for a lovely week at Hotel Indigo Bath. I really enjoyed working with you and had fun doing different jobs at the hotel. Thank you for helping me on my work experience and teaching me new skills. I look forward to visiting again in the future.”

As part of the partnership, Hotel Indigo Bath will also be taking part in the school’s weekly Online Career Insight Programme that will see a member of the hotel’s management team give a short talk to students about their job as well as answering questions. This further reinforces Hotel Indigo Bath and Castlebridge Hospitality’s commitment to a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
